Scope of work
Polyflor Ltd is our customer, a world leader in the industrial production of polypropylene floor coverings.
The request for intervention was very specific and punctual.
We have been entrusted with the task of carrying out in-depth investigations of the loss regulating mixers, through expert work with a risk-based approach.
The ultimate goal was to ensure the safety and reliability of their main production facility.
The results
The project development initially focused on the review and analysis of the state of the art, the general conditions and the identification of the system failure.
We carried out the development of a control plan focused on a structure, performed inspection activities based on risk and failures in mind acceptance tests.
In addition, extensive corrosion tests, ultrasonic examinations and surface NDT tests were carried out to investigate the cause of the leak and to preparing corrective actions for the reliability and safety of production facilities.
